What a thrilling ride this one! I'm so very happy that I didn't give up on this series at book one when things felt slow. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole series. It's hard to rate each book because it feels like a whole journey, so it's hard to just focus on just a fragment. This one was the end though - so far. Karen is good! Very good! Utterly amazing at making you squirm and scream to know what the heck is going on, and making you enjoy it while it lasts. This series is packed full of anticipation and mystery. As well as a good chunk of skepticism - at least from me. Around book 2-3 is where I started to not trust anybody. Everyone that was mentioned was regarded my eyes slit trying to see the deceit behind their eyes. I theorized and speculated All. The. Time. While reading, while doing chores, in the shower, even in my dreams. (Yes, I dreamt I was in Faery! It was Awesome!). Despite all that, I was still pretty far from the truth. I wonder if Karen knew exactly who was who before starting the series or if she sort of worked with the story before knowing where she was going? Either way, that woman has a great thought process. So in this final book, we find out all the answers - finally!!! I did find it long, but it also felt necessary so that all the information wouldn't slam us in the face. Because this book is truly filled to the rim - but I still found it long. Mostly due to my impatience. I just wanted to know already! At the end, the series did feel finished, but the story could definitely go on. There is so much more that could be explored. I do know that another series is coming out in the same world though, so *does happy dance*.
